Facilities Technician II

Your challenge
• Inspect, maintain, and repair general building infrastructure and ground
• Ensure machines and equipment meet established output, efficiency, and availability goals.
• Lead new equipment installations under the guidance of the Facilities Engineer, including plumbing and utility wiring from the drop point to the equipment.
• Validate equipment installations and confirm repairs are completed to required standards.
• Systematically troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of machines and equipment following established procedures; document maintenance and repairs using standardized forms to ensure compliance.
• Create and modify SOPs and other department documents within the Quality Management System
• Manage inventory of necessary spare parts, including tracking usage and reordering as needed.
• Identify opportunities for improvement within the facility
• Lead projects of various sizes, coordinating with and managing external contractors as required.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Facilities Technician I team members and apprentices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment, including shop and floor areas.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Comply with safety regulations and hygiene guidelines at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Profile
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Must have sufficient communication, writing (technical), and general housekeeping skills.
• Must have advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic plumbing, and HVAC.
• Must be capable of reading blue prints, schematics, and other technical documents
• Must be capable of using multimeter, hand tools, power tools, shop tools drill press, saws, welders, torches, etc.
• Must obtain and maintain HVAC license
• Must have working knowledge of validation and change control process
• ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, and 45001 knowledge/experience preferred.
• FDA and OSHA knowledge / experience preferred
• Must be capable of following all applicable safety standards and procedure
• Must be able to work from heights using ladders, lifts, platforms, etc.
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
