Your challenge
- Partners with department leadership (managers/supervisors) to coach and guide towards the appropriate organizational development.
- Ability to align HR strategy to business strategy.
- Acts as change agent to business through process design and approaches that support change and transformation striving to lead mutual processes to best practice status.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR peers to develop solutions; programs and policies.
- Provides day-to-day coaching to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application; and management through complex and difficult issues
- Leverage and utilize Global HRIS and Local Payroll system for site based needs, previous HRIS/payroll software experience required.
- Leads and/or supports annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management; merit and bonus awards; benefits enrollment; etc.
- Evaluates issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program designs i.e. training to address certain needs.
- Partners with other functional departments as needed to provide solutions for clients.
- Promotes a culture of people, safety and quality as top priority through exhibited behaviors
- Ensures departments are in compliance with various governmental laws and regulations around DOL, EEOC, OFCCP, Wage, Workers Compensation, Disability, FMLA, etc.
- Supports implementation of Corporate HR programs and policies for the business.
- Partners with legal to resolve any litigation or legal issues
- Supports talent acquisition activites for positions within their business focus areas to ensure alignment to company compensation and title structure
- Serves as back-up supporting the Head of HR
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Your Profile
- Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resources related field of study
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years in comparable strategic HR
- management function
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years in a manufacturing or medical device environment required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Previous experience with performance management resources such as established rating and ranking tools
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to set high personal goals and work independently
- Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues
- Proven project management experience
- Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including employment law & compliance requirements
- Proven client management and business literacy skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ensure Federal and State Recruitment Compliance, staying up to date on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Occupational Health and Safety Standards (OSHA), etc.
- Other Duties as assigned.
