Your challenge

•    Follows KAM strategy to offer enhanced engagement model to large key accounts; focuses primarily on hubs (for hub and hub-and-spoke model type of key accounts) also supporting field sales working on spokes 
•    Responsible for developing long-lasting relationships with selected local key customers in a specific customer group covering all relevant stakeholders across functions and sites within a region
•    Creates strategic account plan in alignment with Head of KAM (incl. forecasting, sales tactics) 
•    Accountable for all customer requests, responsible to coordinate internal GBO team to respond to/resolve requests/complaints in an attentive manner 
•    In charge of developing accounts and breaking into new accounts based on deep understanding of customer needs covering the complete GBO offering across BUs and including OEM capability
•    Closely follows the industry and identifies opportunities for proactive business development; identifies emerging customer needs influencing GBO's R&D agenda based on most crucial customers 
 

Your Profile

•    5+ years of professional experience in sales, ideally in key account management
•    Industry expertise (i.e. Life Sciences) beneficial
•    Skilled in navigating cross-functional teams
•    Good communication and interpersonal abilities
•    Strong negotiation skills
•    Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
•    Contract Negotiation experience
•    Ability to travel 50% or more via automobile and/or airplane

 

Physical Requirements:
•    Regularly required to stand, sit, reach, bend and move about a facility. 
•    Some light physical effort required.
•    Ability to physically travel nationally and internationally to customer sites with various schedules and different time zones
•    Maintain and possess an updated passport
•    Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no suspensions or major infractions over the previous five years. An annual MVR will be required on all company authorized drivers.
•    Possess and provide documentation that personal motor vehicle insurance coverage is maintained at company specified limits.
