Manufacturing Engineer I

Your challenge

•    Execute and approve investigations to solve problems.
•    Conducts production investigations and determines root cause and associated corrective/preventative actions.
•    Optimize manufacturing workflows and resources.
•    Creates and maintains required documentation for manufacturing processes.
•    Identify opportunities, proposes solutions and implement actions for preventing waste and production inefficiencies. 
•    Implement and propose OPEX activities for the department.
•    Propose and support the implementation of actions to maximize safety, quality and reduce costs.
•    Support installation and startup of new production systems.
•    Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Action for the department.
•    Execute and control activities for Change Control in the department.
•    Resolves issues and delays in production.
•    Ensures that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
•    Support development and improvement of production, processes, and personnel.
•    Execute validation activities within the department.
•    Plan and execute DOEs and Engineering studies in the department.
•    Investigate and approve reports for production quality deviation and customer claims.
•    Qualification and training of production personnel
•    Stays up to date with international engineering trends by visiting trade shows, researching relevant emerging technologies, and/or evaluating supplier’s capabilities.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

•    Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
•    Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, methods including Injection Molding and/or high thruput automated assembling process.
•    Blueprint interpretation, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and programming knowledge are preferable.
•    Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
•    Strong problem-solving, communication, and listening skills.
•    Experience in Project Management.
•    Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot production processes.
•    Project management skills.


Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
•    Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
