Your challenge
• Performing dimensional part inspections using a CMM and various metrology instrumentation
• Performing inspections and IPQ release for semi-finished and finished goods according to valid procedure(s). This includes injection molding and final assembly departments.
• Performing activities to meet departmental Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost KPI’s.
• Performing timely measurement and reporting for Quality Assurance and Engineering validation activities including IQ, OQ, PQ, Product Verifications, Engineering Studies, Measurement Requests, etc.
• Contributing to mentoring and training IPQ team members.
• Supporting maintenance of testing equipment including procurement, troubleshooting, scheduling, and/or the performance of internal/external calibrations as required.
• Assist in the design and development of new measuring techniques/equipment/fixtures.
• Performing CMM programming and measurement validations in collaboration with Quality Engineering.
• Performing timely compliance review and closure of inspection records.
• Accurately documenting and submitting IPQ inspection records following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Performing periodic cycle counting and ordering of IPQ laboratory supplies as needed.
• Performing other administrative duties to ensure IPQ operational readiness as required.
Authority includes:
• The evaluation of products, control of non-conforming products, and IPQ release according to valid procedures.
• Responsible for ERP transactions such as stock transfers and quality hold (SAP).
• Responsible for reporting and troubleshooting inspection devices/equipment and Laboratory Information Management System (Babtec).
Your Profile
• Minimum associates degree in technology, science, or math fields; equivalent experience considered
• 1 year of experience in an ISO, GMP, NIST, or similar regulated manufacturing environment; relevant technical experience preferred
• 1-3 year experience in GD&T, CMM programming, and the operation of tactile and optical CMM systems (Zeiss Calypso and Mitutoyo MCOSMOS)
• Intermediate-level experience with laboratory testing equipment, instrumentation, and analysis, as well as laboratory data processing and review
• Intermediate-level MS office skills
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8-12 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have appropriate vision to perform detailed quality inspection as outlined in SOPs and TPs.
