Your challenge
The QC Analyst is responsible for performing routine tasks of the QC laboratory. The role is responsible for conducting testing and release of Incoming Goods Inspection (IGI) and non-routine materials/products. Non-routine testing includes rework, complaint, QIR, and validation testing as applicable. This role works closely with Production, Quality Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to align overall tasks. QC Analyst serves as a resource to IPQ Inspectors with increased knowledge and experience with GBO-specific laboratory instrumentation and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
• Performance of IGI tasks per internal procedures
• Inspection of rework product per internal procedures
• Testing of non-conforming (QIR) and returned/complaint products per internal procedures
• Follow appropriate steps for the identification and handling of nonconforming product, including tagging of pallets as required for dispositioning
• Complete required activities in SAP such as transfers, review, quality hold, and releases
• Support applicable quality validation activities
• Preparation, edition, and distribution of quality or related documents
• Accurate, concurrent, and complete documentation of test results and activities according to internal and regulatory guidelines
• Performance of equipment calibration and system suitability as necessary
• Assist with troubleshooting of test methods and equipment as directed by management
• Cleaning and sanitation of QC laboratory
• Assist in training and re-training of various QC & IPQ team members
• Perform routine lab inventory (e.g., chemicals, supplies, etc.) and maintain inventory in SAP
• Assist in ordering chemical and lab supplies as appropriate
• Support administrative duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
Authority includes:
• Evaluation of products/components according to internal procedures
• Restriction of non-conformity product according to internal procedures
• Release of IGI batches to Production (testing and SAP)
• Training of new or existing QC employees regarding QC procedures and use of equipment.
• Perform SAP transactions to hold product
Your Profile
• Bachelor’s Degree in a physical or life science or equivalent (3+ years) experience in a similar GMP, GDP, and GLP work experience in a Quality Control laboratory setting (ISO 13485 manufacturing environment preferred)
• Intermediate-level experience with laboratory testing equipment, instrumentation, and analysis; experience with GBO-specific equipment including Kruss flame photometer preferred
• Intermediate-level experience with CAQ (Computer Aided Quality) inspections systems
• Intermediate-level MS office skills and communication & data management computer skills
• Intermediate-level knowledge with basic statistic and calculations; proficient knowledge in applicable chemical calculations preferred
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12+ hours
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Must have appropriate vision to perform detailed quality inspections as outlined in SOP’s or TPs
