Your challenge
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform internal calibration as required
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule calibration within allowed time frame.
• Coordinate and schedule calibration with external calibration vendors
• Maintain calibration database and monitor due dates for calibration and maintain accurate records of calibration
• Assist the third-party calibration technician on-site during calibration and ensure all gages are calibrated per specifications and standards at all time
• Ensure all gages are in operating conditions within manufacturing process specified range as requested
• Assist Sr. Quality Technician in performing gage repair/troubleshooting as necessary
• Assist Quality Engineers and Sr. Quality Technicians with investigation by retrieval of samples for testing, logging of nonconformance information in database, and completion of disposition tags for product
• Assist with training personnel on the use of gauges as needed
• Assist Quality Engineer in non-conformance and complaint processes
• Assist with Gage R & R and engineering studies as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Authority:
• Gage calibration evaluation
• Issue calibration certifications
• Restrict or release of gages due to repair or calibration failure.
• Quality hold of product
Your Profile
Job Requirements:
• Minimum high school diploma
• Understanding of calibration procedure and government regulations.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must have basic mathematical and technical knowledge of gages.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A team player as well as the ability to work independently
• Attention to detail, troubleshooting, time management, and accuracy skills
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
