Site Training Manager

Your challenge

•    Coordinate with all departments to ensure training is optimized for the success of employees in their function
•    Work with various stakeholders, including department training coordinators, to optimize trainings of new and existing employees
•    Identify skill/capability gaps and create systematic solutions to permanently address these gaps
•    Identify and implement ideal training metrics and tracking tools based on survey evaluations, job position productivity, employee satisfaction/retention, etc.
•    Use metrics and results to monitor the status and performance of the existing training programs and identify gaps for further improvement 
•    Be the site expert on Greiner’s Learning Management System (LMS) 
•    Identify best practices for training content and delivery by evaluating the methods used by other Greiner locations and external leaders for inspiration and optimization
•    Create training materials and train colleagues on trainings topics as required
•    Support managers/supervisors and the HR team in outlining reasonable training goals, resources, and targets for employees in the Performance Improvement Program (PIP)
•    Facilitate the identification and documentation of required skills for all positions as well as the opportunities and pathways for employees to advance in their careers
•    Oversight and coordinate the Technician Apprentice Program including direct supervisory responsibilities for the early stages of the apprentices journey
•    Establish and manage the framework of various programs intended for the training growth and recruitment of existing and future talent including but not limited to continuous education programs, external training for hire, Cooperative Education Programs (CO-OP) and Internships
•    Determine the investment and expenses required to meet training targets
•    Other duties as assigned
 

Your Profile

•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a fast past environment (manufacturing experience preferred)
•    Common knowledge of Learning Managment System Software
•    Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
•    Experience and passion for mentoring and enabling the success of others
•    Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
•    Experience in Project Management and Change Management preferred
•    Strong communication skills
•    Demonstrated success at influencing cross departmental stakeholders without administrative authority


Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
•    Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
