Job Description

Monroe, NC - Onsite

Responsibility:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the overall organizational goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiency enhancements.
  • Supply Chain Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the supply chain department, including supply chain planning, purchasing, and import processes operations. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials, products, and services to meet customer demands.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of approximately 15 employees, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting professional development and ensuring the team's success.
  • Planning of personnel, investments and expenses for subordinate department and monitoring of expense development
  • Purchasing Management: Collaborate with the purchasing team to develop and execute procurement strategies that optimize costs, maintain quality standards, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Import Operations: Manage the import team and ensure compliance with all import regulations, customs requirements, and documentation procedures. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to streamline import processes and minimize delays.
  • Performance Analysis: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Analyze data and trends to make data-driven decisions and optimize supply chain processes
  • Cost Optimization: Drive cost savings initiatives throughout the supply chain by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective strategies. Continuously monitor and optimize procurement processes to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, particularly those set by the FDA in the medical device manufacturing sector. Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure the implementation of appropriate processes and documentation
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and operational improvements within the supply chain department. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to represent GBO in supply chain topics with suppliers/customers in a professional manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to take proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in supply chain management in a manufacturing and distribution environment
  • Strong background in cost savings initiatives and demonstrated success in achieving measurable results
  • Experience in FDA-regulated industries, particularly in medical device manufacturing, is preferred
  • Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and process improvements
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with SAP and supply chain management software systems
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools
  • Valid Driver’s License

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit or stand up to 12 hours
