Your Challenge
To ensure the safety and general upkeep of electrical equipment including carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.
Role Specifics
- A willingness to welcome and participate in continuous improvement projects in the various procedures within the department
- To perform electrical diagnostics as required
- Maintain and update electrical schematics
- Electromechanical fault diagnosis
- Assist with additional mechanical tasks e.g. tool changes
- Update and maintenance of records in accordance with internal systems, ISO9001, ISO14001, BRC etc.
- Lead and facilitate energy reduction plans for shift team and ensure that energy efficiency considerations are factored into daily work.
- Any other duties/projects as requested
Essential Criteria
- Recognised apprenticeship qualification (BTEC ONC Level 2 or above in Electrical) served within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience post completion of apprenticeship
- Proven experience of preventative maintenance
- Understanding of electrical control systems and ability to fault find electrical issues
- Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, ability to understand schematics and ability to fault find both process and mechanical issues
