Do you have a background in IT and want to apply your technical expertise beyond traditional office IT?

As an IT Technician for Production IT / OT, you’ll work with our team to maintain and further develop the IT infrastructure at our production sites. Your focus will be on networks, server and Linux systems, secure remote access solutions, and the technical infrastructure supporting our production facilities. You don’t need to be an OT specialist just yet. If you have experience with traditional IT infrastructure, enjoy solving technical problems, and are interested in production environments, you can develop your skills specifically in this area with us.

Your Challenge

  • Maintenance and further development of our IT and OT infrastructure at production sites
  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networks and IT systems
  • Maintenance of TCP/IP networks, VLANs, routing, and firewall rules
  • Analysis and resolution of technical issues in Windows, Linux, and network environments
  • Maintenance and further development of secure remote access solutions
  • Implementing updates, patches, maintenance, and system changes
  • Assisting with the segmentation and securing of production networks
  • Maintaining IT and OT hardware and providing support for lifecycle and asset management
  • Preparing technical documentation for systems, networks, configurations, and changes
  • Assisting with the analysis and resolution of technical vulnerabilities
  • Collaborating with colleagues from IT Infrastructure, IT Security, Production, Automation, and Maintenance
  • Participating in international IT, OT, and MES projects
  • Supporting rollouts and technical implementations at our international locations
  • Participating in the definition and implementation of common technical standards for production sites

Your Profile

  • Educational background in IT, network technology, systems engineering or a related field
  • Initial practical experience as an IT technician, system administrator, systems engineer, infrastructure engineer, or network technician
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and network segmentation
  • Ideally, you have experience with Windows and/or Linux systems
  • Enjoy technical troubleshooting and analyzing and solving problems independently
  • Interest in production IT, industrial networks, and OT security
  • A structured, self-reliant, and team-oriented approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborating with various departments and external partners
  • Openness to new technologies and a willingness to continuously develop your skills
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support projects, rollouts, and production sites

Our Offer

Not familiar with all of these technologies yet? No problem. For us, a solid technical understanding of IT, hands-on experience, and a willingness to learn new technologies and production environments are more important than experience with every single system. This position combines traditional IT infrastructure with the technical world of our production sites. You won’t just be working with traditional client and server systems - you’ll also gain insight into networks, systems, and applications that are directly connected to our production facilities. Together with colleagues from IT, production, automation, and security, you’ll ensure that these systems operate reliably, securely, and sustainably over the long term. In doing so, you can specifically expand your existing IT expertise to include topics such as production IT, industrial networks, OT security, and secure remote access.

Thanks to our international locations, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in rollouts, technical projects, and the further development of common standards.

This role is particularly well-suited for IT technicians, systems engineers, and network technicians who wish to advance their professional skills and are interested in applying IT directly in a production environment. You do not need prior experience as an automation or PLC technician. Rather, we are looking for an IT technician with an interest in production and industry who would like to work with us to further develop the fields of production IT and OT.

You can expect a modern working environment with a high degree of creative freedom. In addition, we offer a wide range of attractive social benefits, a comprehensive training program and an open and innovative team that is looking forward to meeting you.

In accordance with legal requirements in Austria, we are obliged to disclose the minimum annual gross salary for this position as defined by the collective agreement, which is € 60,977,70 € (Chemical Industry Collective Agreement). We are, of course, willing to offer a market-aligned overpayment depending on your individual qualifications and professional experience.

We provide equal opportunities for everyone and see diversity as our strength. Therefore, we welcome all applicants – regardless of characteristics such as gender, age, background, social status, sexual orientation, religion, or mental and physical abilities. We have set the goal of empowering women and increasing female leader representation. We foster an inclusive work environment and encourage all individuals to apply.
