As an OT Technician, you will support the secure, stable, and future-ready operation of our production and operational technology (OT) systems. You will work closely with colleagues across IT, production, automation, and cybersecurity, serving as a trusted partner for internal stakeholders, international sites, and external service providers.

Your mission is to keep our OT systems secure, resilient, and highly available. By resolving technical challenges, implementing OT standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, you will help shape a modern and future-proof production environment.

Your Challenge

  • Ensure the secure, stable, and efficient operation of our OT systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues affecting OT systems, production networks, and machine-related IT systems
  • Perform system maintenance, updates, and patch management, while ensuring accurate documentation of systems, changes, and implemented measures
  • Support international OT and MES initiatives and contribute to successful deployments across multiple locations
  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of internal OT standards, policies, and cybersecurity requirements
  • Collaborate closely with production teams, IT, machine suppliers, and internal subject matter experts
  • Support OT asset lifecycle management and participate in vulnerability assessments and risk mitigation activities
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to enhance the security, reliability, and performance of our OT landscape

Your Profile

  • Educational background in IT, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Initial experience or strong interest in IT/OT environments, manufacturing systems, industrial networks, or information security
  • Experience with Linux environments is an advantage; alternatively, a willingness to develop expertise in Linux-based systems
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, routing, firewall configuration, and iptables
  • Passion for technology and an analytical approach to solving complex technical challenges
  • Structured and collaborative working style with a hands-on mentality
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and with external partners
  • Continuous-learning mindset and curiosity for new technologies
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support projects, rollouts, and production sites

In accordance with legal requirements in Austria, we are obliged to disclose the minimum annual gross salary for this position as defined by the collective agreement, which is € 60,977,70 € (Chemical Industry Collective Agreement). We are, of course, willing to offer a market-aligned overpayment depending on your individual qualifications and professional experience.
