Senior Expert Sustainability Reporting (all genders)

Your challenge
- Coordination and execution of group-wide non-financial reporting:
This includes project management and controlling, defining and updating reporting content in line with CSRD/ESRS (including materiality analysis) and the EU Taxonomy; collaborating with internal stakeholders to collect quantitative and qualitative KPIs and information at group level; and conducting the external audit - Gap analysis of required KPIs and information:
Identifying the information and key performance indicators that need to be adapted or expanded to comply with current reporting standards or for internal management purposes, and implementing the necessary changes at all levels (both functional and operational) - Optimizing data availability and quality incl. establishment and implementation of the necessary processes and systems:
Working with various stakeholders to continuously improve data timeliness, completeness, and quality in the context of ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and other external and internal requirements (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis); this includes optimizing existing data collection processes and tools used (e.g. Sphera, MS Fabric, SAP), specific subject areas (e.g., waste) as well as gradually reducing manual effort through digitalization - Continuous improvement and interface function:
Coordinating efforts across various departments to ensure the operational implementation of reporting requirements, as well as collaborating with finance and communications team on the preparation of the report and the internal management of the various sustainability initiatives - Identification and integration of ESG-related risks and opportunities:
Collaboration with the Internal Audit and Risk Management team to identify and manage relevant risks and opportunities in line with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and TCFD, and deriving appropriate recommendations for action - Target group-oriented and legally compliant sustainability communication:
Continuously monitoring developments and new requirements in reporting and sustainability communication (e.g., Green Claims, EmpCo); supporting and guiding stakeholders in creating relevant communication materials; managing additional ESG reporting streams such as CDP, EcoVadis, and UNGC - Support and implementation of additional specialist activities:
such as contributing to the revision of the sustainability strategy or the development and implementation of a climate transition plan in accordance with the CSRD, as well as other relevant sustainability projects
Your Profile
- Completed degree in natural sciences or business administration (university or university of applied sciences), ideally with a focus on sustainability or financial communication
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a manufacturing or publicly listed company environment
- Strong expertise in reporting according to CSRD/ESRS and EU Taxonomy
- Excellent project management skills
- A passion for and experience in optimizing internal data management, particularly with regard to process design and system selection
- Excellent communication skills (including the ability to draft reports and presentations) and enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders
- High level of independence, structured working style, and resilience
- Excellent German and English language skills

In accordance with legal requirements in Austria, we are obliged to disclose the minimum annual gross salary for this position as defined by the collective agreement, which is € 65,605.54 (Chemical Industry Collective Agreement). We are, of course, willing to offer a market-aligned overpayment depending on your individual qualifications and professional experience.
