Your challenge
This position is designed as a key strategic leadership role and is responsible for the continuous development of the corporate strategy, the design of BU-/SBU strategies, and close coordination with the parent company. In addition, the role ensures strategic planning, strategic execution, and strategic controlling, acting as the central function to track, steer, and challenge the implementation of strategic initiatives and value creation. The position serves as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO and is intended for a high-potential individual with a clear development path into senior leadership roles (e.g. BU leadership).
- Further development of the overall corporate strategy and long-term strategic roadmap.
- Development of Business Unit and Sub-Business Unit strategies to drive profitable growth.
- Ownership of strategic planning, execution, and controlling, including KPI-based steering, performance tracking, and decision support for top management.
- Support and alignment of functional strategies (Finance, Operations, HR, Commercial Excellence).
- Close coordination of strategic topics with Corporate Development / Strategy of the parent company.
- Board and Supervisory Board reporting: structuring, analysis, storylining, and presentation.
- Scenario analyses, market and financial modeling.
- Preparation and management of strategic transformation programs (e.g. operating model changes).
- Support of organizational development initiatives.
- Build-up and leadership of a Market Intelligence function.
- Strategic M&A and JV activities: screening, valuation, strategic analyses, and integration concepts.
Your Profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field.
- + 10 years of professional experience in strategy roles or management consulting is highly desirable.
- Industry experience in process industries / chemicals is an advantage.
- Deep understanding of strategy development (preferably in an M&A context), strategic planning, execution and controlling.
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with excellent storytelling skills.
- Ability to independently develop strategies together with BU/SBU leaders and General Managers.
- High communication skills and assertiveness.
- Fluent English skills and an international mindset.
